Each treatment has specific situations where it may not be suitable, and our treatments are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. Please review the information carefully before booking, and if you are unsure whether a treatment is right for you, consult your GP or contact us for guidance.

Colon Care (Colonic Hydrotherapy)

Not suitable if you have:

  • Abdominal or rectal hernia

  • Anal fissure or rectal fistula

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s, Colitis, Diverticulitis) – unless in remission with medical clearance

  • Bowel obstruction or prolapse

  • Cancer of the colon or rectum

  • Not suitable during pregnancy

  • Recent abdominal or bowel surgery (timeframes apply) 

  • Chemotherapy or radiotherapy (recent/active)

  • Uncontrolled heart conditions, high blood pressure, or diabetes

  • Severe kidney or liver disease

  • Rectal bleeding

  • Taking strong anticoagulants (e.g. Warfarin)

  • Epilepsy (unless licensed to drive)

If in doubt, do not book without medical clearance.

Not suitable if you have:

  • High fever, infection, or recent illness

  • Infectious skin diseases (e.g. herpes simplex, impetigo, ringworm, scabies)

  • Recent haemorrhage, surgery, or injury (within 6 months)

  • Migraine or severe asthma

  • Cancer or malignant melanoma

  • Circulatory problems or heart conditions

  • High or low blood pressure (uncontrolled)

  • Epilepsy

  • History of embolism or thrombosis

  • Diabetes (uncontrolled)

  • Varicose veins or localised dilation of blood vessels

  • Severe bruising, cuts, or abrasions

  • Undiagnosed lumps, swellings, or scar tissue

  • Not suitable during pregnancy

Not suitable if you are:

  • Pregnant

  • Recovering from recent operations (within 6–9 months)

Not suitable if you have:

  • Cancer (active or in remission)

  • Kidney disease

  • Varicose veins

  • Allergies to wood

  • Diabetes

  • Cardiovascular disease or heart conditions

  • Epilepsy or muscular disorders

  • Pacemaker or implanted electrical device

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Taking steroids, antidepressants, or blood thinners
